Why? I decided to start a blog & vlog channel.
I love the family blogging / vlogging community. I think being comfortable to invite thousands of people from every corner of the Earth into your "home" on a daily or weekly basis is amazing. It is like the whole world becomes your extended family.
When Elijah was first born I had tons of time on my hands. I was on a nearly seven month maternity leave and luckily I had an infant who liked loved to sleep. I lived on Youtube and Blogspot, it was my haven.
But I felt I did not see enough of my type of "family". I am S I N G L E. And have been since I was six months pregnant. I am a young, single, unapologetic mother. And I really wanted a voice. Don't get me wrong I love watching the two parent homes, with 2.5 kids and the mini van in the driveway. But it is not my reality. More than half of today’s children will likely spend at
least part of their childhood in a single parent family. Even though there is only two of us (for now) we are each others family.
So join me as I Raise Elijah.
